In 1991, Alexandros Papalexis graduated from the University of Graphic Arts and Design of Athens, and since then he has been working as a graphic designer, illustrator and also as type designer. He has also worked as an Art Director in magazines, design agencies and music companies.

There are hundreds of CDs and music collections designed by him. For example, he has collaborated with composers and singers like MIKIS THEODORAKIS, MANOS HADJIDAKIS, THANOS MIKROUTSIKOS, GARRY BARTON, MIMIS PLESSAS, HARIS ALEXIOU, GIORGOS DALARAS, DULCE PONTES and music companies like EMI MUSIC, BLUE NOTE RECORDS, EMI-CLASSICS, UNIVERSAL, VIRGIN, SONY MUSIC, LYRA. It has also designed Music Compilations for radio stations, (EN LEFKO / DIESI 101.3 / RED 93.6 / ROCK FM) and Music Box Set for the Compact Disc Club. He has created the corporate identity, branding, and packaging for many companies like TSOLAKIS ARCHITECTS, ELEGANT SA, DOMAINES MATHIS, MARGARITA HOTEL, ANTONOPOULOS SA, DEVOUS, VERSACE, BULER, NINA RICI.

His artwork has been a finalist many times at the EVGE Greek Design Awards, and in 2009, he won a merit award for creating three sample lists of special papers for the company Chartorama. These books include paper samples from international companies such as ZANDERS, ARJOWIGGINS, and ZUBER-RIEDER. Specific paper grades were implemented during the printing process to promote the papers’ exceptional quality.

Since 1998, Alexandros Papalexis has been collaborating with the top Greek type design agency; Parachute Type Foundry and has already designed over ten typefaces for its catalogue. Along with Panos Vassiliou, he has been responsible for several promotional activities of the company’s fonts (catalogues, flyers, posters) in both the Greek and international markets. In the last six years, the company has been awarded an equal number of European awards.

In 2016, he joined one of the top creative agencies in Greece; 2yolk Branding Agency as Senior Art Director. 2yolk is one of the most awarded Greek graphic design firms, having received numerous awards, prizes, commendations, and publications in Greece and abroad. As the Senior Art Director, he has been responsible for overseeing some of the biggest projects of the agency, including the creation of new brands, the rebranding and redesigning of some of the most popular product brands such as KLINEX, BITAM, VIKOS MIXERS, EVGA (ice creams), ROYAL MEDITERRANEAN, and the design for new logos for companies like SOFTEX, BITAM, ROYAL MEDITERRANEAN, PRAKTIKER, FOURLIS HOLDINGS and more.
